Gartner Magic Quadrant for the CRM Customer Engagement Centre 2019

Once again, Gartner has positioned Microsoft in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for the CRM Customer Engagement Centre, based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute in the customer engagement centre market. Gartner notes, “Digital business models, improved AI maturity and connected customer service ecosystems are changing how organisations engage with customers and manage customer service teams.”

Once again, Gartner has positioned Microsoft in the Leaders Quadrant in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation, based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute in the sales force automation market. Gartner notes, “Vendors improved AI for data capture, predictive analytics and relationship intelligence in the past year.”


Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large and Global Enterprises 2019

Gartner has positioned Microsoft as a Visionary in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large and Global Enterprises. Gartner notes, “Gartner’s client enquiry data shows that interest in cloud core financial management suites is increasing significantly. Many application leaders and senior finance users believe that moving to the cloud will enable them easily to avoid the challenges they face with on-premises core financial applications — such as cumbersome user interfaces, too much customisation and expensive, hard-to-manage upgrades.”


Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Midsize Enterprises

In its first Magic Quadrant for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Midsize Enterprises, Gartner has positioned Microsoft as a visionary, based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute. Gartner notes that “By 2021, 70% of all new midmarket cloud ERP application projects for product-centric enterprises will be public cloud implementations.”


Critical Capabilities for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Midsize Enterprises

In the Critical Capabilities for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric, Midsized Enterprises, Microsoft receives the highest scores from Gartner for the process manufacturing and modern technology architecture use cases, and within the three highest scores in all use cases.


Gartner Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management

Gartner has positioned Microsoft as a Visionary in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management, noting, “Vendors’ positions in this Magic Quadrant reflect customers’ new expectations in areas such as digital technician support, outcome-based service business models, and AI-driven scheduling and decision support.”

In Forrester’s 33-criterion evaluation of customer service solution providers, they identified the 12 most significant ones — Appian, bpm’online, Freshworks, Microsoft, Oracle, Pegasystems, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, SugarCRM, Verint, and Zendesk — and researched, analysed, and scored them. Microsoft is positioned in the Strong Performers band, with Forrester noting, “ Microsoft is the only supplier that provides hardware, software, and internet-of-things (IoT) platforms to enable end-to-end customer service.”

Mega Vendors Use AI To Change The CRM Game

Forrester examines the major vendors offering AI in the CRM landscape including Microsoft. The April 2018 report notes, “Unlike its competitors, Microsoft has been building out an AI platform agnostic of its business applications for years. Its AI platform, built on Microsoft Azure, makes machine-learning, cognitive, and bot services available that businesses can leverage to create their own applications or connect to Dynamics 365… Microsoft's greatest depth is in its library of AI solutions designed specifically for sales and customer service.”

The IDC MarketScape positions Microsoft as a Major Player for Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Operational ERP Applications.
